Lions and tigers and bears, oh my... Foxes and otters and hares, oh my... Bobcats and weasels and moose and who knows what prints the snow is holding for us, just waiting to be discovered. Come learn how to tell a fox's track from a golden retriever's, a porcupine's from a possum's, a mink's from a mongoose's. We'll walk for about a mile in the Stoney Brook Wildlife Sanctuary north-east of Newbury, looking for signs of wildlife and listening for birds along the way. Meet at the parking lot on Chalk Hill Rd., 1.3 miles from Rte. 103A, at 10:00. Bring some water, a little lunch, and your sharpest eyes! All are welcome! RSVP to nhyoungbirders@gmail.com if you plan to attend.
